The Real Reason NFL Players Protest

The Real Reason NFL Players Protest

tisThe disturbing sight of team after team in the NFL “taking a knee” during the playing of the National Anthem is a direct result of incitement by former president Obama, his attorney general, Eric Holder and Democrats during the Obama years. Democrat incitement of blacks over alleged rampant racism has continued and intensified since Donald Trump was elected president. It was no surprise that an epidemic of attacks on police ensued, during Obama’s term. On July 7, 2016, five police officers were shot dead by Micah X Johnson in Dallas and nine more were injured. The next morning, a police officer was shot “from behind and critically injured” in the St. Louis suburb of Ballwin, MO, reported the LA Times. Another officer in Valdosta, Georgia was lured by the report of a damaged vehicle when a man opened fire. “The suspect called 911 to report a break-in,” said the Associated Press, “then ambushed and shot the officer.” The officer was shot “multiple times,” Police Chief Brian Childress told the AP. Also that day, in Georgia, “Another officer on patrol became a target when a motorist pulled up and fired at him in Roswell, north of Atlanta,” said the LA Times, “A black Army veteran, Lakeem Keon Scott, targeted police in a shooting Thursday along a highway in Bristol, Tenn., authorities said.” “Preliminarily, the investigation reveals Scott targeted individuals and officers after being troubled by recent incidents involving African Americans and law enforcement officers,” authorities from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a statement. On Sunday, July 17, 2016 Fox News reported: At least three law enforcement officers were killed and three others injured in a shooting Sunday in Baton...
Rand Paul’s Quixotic Quest Will Lead to Single Payer

Rand Paul’s Quixotic Quest Will Lead to Single Payer

Call Rand Paul: 202-224- 4343 Rand Paul fantasizes that he can stand on principle by voting against the Graham-Cassidy ObamaCare repeal/replace bill, and there will be no consequences. The bill would replace ObamaCare by repealing its most odious mandates and giving the money it costs the Fed to the states as block grants. But in one week, when the fiscal year ends, the window will close on passing a bill with a simple majority under Reconciliation rules. After that time, we’ll need 8 Dems to help pass a repeal—an impossibility that only a modern-day Don Quixote could believe in. Sen. Paul keeps babbling in interviews about a national group plan—which also won’t be achievable under strict Reconciliation rules and surely won’t get 60 votes, after September 30th. The obvious result is, we’ll be stuck with ObamaCare forevermore. The GOP will be blamed, and rightly so. This is obvious to anyone but Rand. But that’s not all. As ObamaCare fails, the GOP will be forced to help the Democrats shore up the flawed plan. That is going to cost more and more money until the idea will be floated that eliminating insurance companies will save money—something one third of Democrats already favor. There’s a name for that: single payer. That’s been the plan from the start; Harry Reid admitted as much in a 2013 Las Vegas Sun interview: “What we’ve done with ObamaCare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever,” Reid said. When then asked by panelist Steve Sebelius whether he meant ultimately the country would have to...
Trump Admin. Plays “Guess Who the Enemy Is” at 9/11 Remembrance

Trump Admin. Plays “Guess Who the Enemy Is” at 9/11 Remembrance

It’s pretty hard for a president whose signature campaign phrase was “radical Islamic terror” —a phrase he used countless times—to get through a 9/11 commemorative speech without once using the words “Islam” or “Islamic.” But President Trump managed to do it, as did his top brass: Vice President Pence, Secretary of Defense Mattis and Attorney General Sessions. All of them used every term possible to keep America guessing just whom they were talking about when describing the murderers of thousands in the heart of New York City. That’s particularly egregious because we face the very same foe today, from without and within our nation. Trump is not the first president to conceal our would-be conquerors There’s a history of presidents protecting this enemy from the American people, rather than the other way around. President George W. Bush had executed a comparable feat only six days after the event in question. On September 17, 2001, shoeless, facing TV cameras at the Islamic Center of Washington, he told a devastated nation that “Islam is peace.” He stood next to the likes of Nihad Awad, a longtime advocate for Hamas and the executive director of CAIR. President Bush was the first to purge his government of words about Islam: From an NBC report of an April 24, 2008, AP article: Federal agencies, including the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security and the National Counter Terrorism Center, are telling their people not to describe Islamic extremists as “jihadists” or “mujahedeen,” according to documents obtained by The Associated Press. Lingo like “Islamo-fascism” is out, too. U.S. officials may be “unintentionally portraying terrorists, who lack...
More Lawfare by the Left Against the Executive Branch

More Lawfare by the Left Against the Executive Branch

“Lawfare” is the use of often-frivolous lawsuits to intimidate, silence and stymie opponents. The absurd suits of blue states against the president, in order to block his immigration orders, are good examples. Here’s yet another reason why Congress should strip the federal courts of jurisdiction over immigration—a power Congress does possess: Lawfare by blue states and DC, fighting to keep DACA. A CNN article on the story includes what may be the most idiotic statement of the year: “I filed suit against President Trump and his administration to protect DACA because Dreamers are just as American as first lady Melania Trump,” New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas said in a statement. This guy is a lawyer? Melania Trump is a citizen, who entered the country legally; the DACA beneficiaries are here only by virtue of an unconstitutional memo from former (and present) community organizer, Barack Obama, who even admitted he lacked the authority to do that. If we can believe CNN, the following states (and DC) are joining in this folly: New Mexico, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington. Although the real strategy is the time-honored tool of the Left: “Let’s just do whatever we please,” supposedly, the grounds that may be used are that President Trump violated the Administrative Procedure Act, which lays out a lengthy process that requires ample notice and time for the public to comment on substantive federal rulemaking,” writes CNN. You may remember that in Texas, et al. v United States, the district court under Judge Hanen held,...
The Greatest Threat

The Greatest Threat

Ominous rise of protests threatens the nation We all need to be aware of a threat that is more menacing than North Korea. The hard Left has made its mission to suppress—violently if necessary—forms of expression they disagree with. And it ain’t just Nazis. It started on campuses, where invited speakers: Heather Mac Donald, who wrote The War on Cops, Charles Murray, who wrote the Bell Curve, Condoleeza Rice, Breitbart writer, Milo Yiannopoulos and others were blocked from speaking by massive protests, some of which turned violent. A number of the protests included masked non-students from anti-capitalist groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter. The reasoning was, the speakers’ views warranted the protests, and therefore they had no right to speak. We saw the next stage at Charlottesville, VA. A rally of reputed white supremacists, who had a court-ordered permit were prevented from speaking by the state police, after Governor McAuliffe, a Clinton pal, declared a state of emergency. The rally had drawn a large crowd of Antifa protesters, some of whom were carrying weapons, as were some of the attendees of the rally. Although two secure pens that had been erected successfully walled off the two groups, the state police, according to witnesses, forced the rally group directly into the protest group outside the pens. Witnesses also said the police stood back and did nothing until after a woman was killed when a man believed to be a supremacist allegedly drove his car into the crowd. There were allegations that the conflict was a false-flag operation. LA Key, a guest on a CNN show said protesters were “coming off...
Mr. President: Keep Your Promise to Black Americans on DACA

Mr. President: Keep Your Promise to Black Americans on DACA

A Wall St. Journal article on August 25th discusses the people who were brought to the US by their illegal alien parents, called by some “dreamers,” though they are just as illegal as their parents. But in June of 2012 Obama, in effect, rewrote the Immigration and Naturalization Act, giving them legal status under DACA, which allows them to stay here and also work. According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, 1,267,834 applications had been accepted, through June 30, 2016. During his campaign, Mr. Trump repeatedly promised to end DACA on day one of his term. As the WSJ points out, candidate Trump called DACA “an ‘unconstitutional executive amnesty,’ but, after [he] took office, he softened his stance and has allowed the program to continue, with his administration approving applications and renewals.” “‘DACA is a very, very difficult subject for me,’” he said in a news conference in February [and other times]. ‘It’s one of the most difficult subjects I have because you have these incredible kids.’” The late Jerry Lewis, who spearheaded fundraising for research into Multiple Dystrophy, called his beneficiaries “my kids,” but they really were kids. Trump’s kids, under DACA rules could be up to 36 years old today: To be eligible for DACA, applicants must have been “under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012,” meaning they could be 36 today. So, Mr. Trump’s calling them “incredible kids” is based on sentimental fantasy, not fact. Now, eleven states have given the DOJ until September 5th to start enforcing existing law against beneficiaries of Obama’s illegal amnesty, or they will add DACA to their...
