Guardians of the Constitution

The Challenge

It’s no secret that politicians often say one thing to get your vote, and do another after being elected to office.  An endorsement from Madison’s CPC isn’t an easy thing to earn, and an even harder thing to keep.  We only support constitutional minded politicians who demonstrate the fortitude to stand up for our rights regardless of the cost.

The Solution

Doing the right thing has always been hard, but it is our job to make it easier by showing our unlimited support both financially, with word of mouth, with activism and with encouragement.  It is also our job as guardians of the constitution to call out those who threaten our freedoms and to educate those who don’t understand why this antiquated piece of paper is as vital to their success and happiness as it was to that of our forefathers.

Senator Ted Cruz (R) – Texas

Senator Mike Lee (R) – UTAH

Senator Mike Lee, of Utah, has earned the title of most conservative person in all of Congress. He has managed to get a perfect score on Heritage Action, Conservative Review, and Freedom Works. This feat speaks for itself. No other Senators, or House Members, were able to get a 100% score on all three platforms. Senator Lee fights for our Constitutional rights and limited government on a daily basis. Madison’s CPC is proud to have endorsed Senator Mike Lee for his re-election bid to the U.S. Senate!

Convention of the States

The Convention of States (COS) Project was founded by Citizens for Self-Governance for the purpose of stopping the runaway power of the federal government. We believe Washington, D.C., is broken and will not fix itself. The federal government is spending this country into the ground, seizing power from the states and taking liberty from the people.
The Problem
The federal government has overreached its constitutionally-established boundaries and has its hands in almost every area of our lives. Our children and grandchildren will inherit a bankrupt nation run by an unaccountable bureaucracy.
The Solution
Article V of the United States Constitution allows us to call a Convention of States to restrict the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, effectively returning the citizens’ rightful power over the ruling elite.
The Strategy
Working together, state legislators and American citizens can restore the checks and balances on federal power that were put in place by our founding fathers to protect our liberty from the abuses in Washington DC.

COS and Madison’s CPC have mission statements that dovetail perfectly. The idea of actually using the Constitution to protect the Republic and our liberties has somehow become a problem, even with some who profess to be conservatives. Some will say it’s dangerous and in doing so they join hands with the Progressives to select certain parts of the Constitution to ignore, and thus they do their part in making the Constitution irrelevant. Madison’s CPC strongly endorses the Convention of States Project and encourages each and every conservative to learn more and become a grassroots activist.
